Summary:
Pair of bentwood side chairs designed by Joseph Hoffmann (1870–1956) for Josef and Jakob Kohn, Vienna, executed during the Vienna Secession period, circa 1900. Each chair features a carved back panel with stylized figural and foliate motifs framed within a shaped cartouche, surmounted by a scalloped crest. Old partial Josef and Jakob Kohn label underneath.
