Bio: Alexandra Exter was a suprematist and constructivist painter and designer associated with the Russian avant-garde. In 1914 she exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in Paris and the International Futurist Exhibition in Milan alongside Kasimir Malevich, Alexander Archipenko, Vadym Meller and Sonia Delaunay-Terk. She resettled in France in 1924, teaching at the Académie Moderne in Paris and later at the Académie d’Art Contemporain under Fernand Léger, and participated in the 1936 "Cubism and Abstract Art" exhibition in New York.
