Summary:
19th century Russian Orthodox icon depicting the Apparition of the Mother of God to St. Sergius of Radonezh, painted in tempera on panel. The composition illustrates the celebrated vision in which the Virgin Mary appeared to St. Sergius accompanied by the Apostles Peter and John.
