Jos Dufour (Belgian, 1896–1976), ‘Winter in Flanders, ’ oil on canvas depicting an expansive snow-covered rural landscape beneath a dramatic overcast sky.
Signed ‘Jos Dufour’ lower right. Presented in a gilt and silver-tone frame with an applied name plaque reading ‘Jos. DUFOUR.’
Dufour was a Belgian painter known primarily for traditional landscapes and atmospheric rural scenes, including views of the Belgian countryside.
