Summary:
George Davidson, decorative design study for a ceiling mural depicting allegorical representations of the Four Seasons: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. The composition features four figural representations positioned at the corners surrounding a central stylized map of Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Geometric borders, gilt decoration and additional figural and animal motifs complete the elaborate design. Seasons inscribed in pencil under each.
