Longwy rare limited edition, artist signed. Large 14.5 inch dia. polychrome enamel faience charger by Vieux de Longwy – Atelier d’Art, titled “Clairiere.” Decorated with a stag and doe at a woodland stream, on a fine crackle ground with cobalt rim. Reverse with factory stamps “Vieux de Longwy – France / Atelier d’Art, ” title cartouche, and limited-edition notation “Piece a tirage limite a 200 exemplaires, ” this example no. 98. Further marked “Creation de Thirgnon” and “Rehausse Ak.”
