Large oval dresser or jewelry box in silver-plate over copper, with hinged lid and small feet. The exterior is heavily decorated in repoussé with scrolling foliate designs, cherub and putti figures, masks, floral ornament, and rococo-style reserves. Interior with gilt finish and additional embossed decoration to the lid and sides. Underside with impressed marks indicate a new york maker
