Summary:
Important French three-piece fireplace garniture in black marble and bronze, second half of the 19th century. The central clock surmounted by a seated woman in classical drapery in brown patina bronze, the black marble case with gilt bronze trim, star inlay, a gilt Roman numeral bezel on a black dial, lion-mask side handles, and gilt paw feet. With a pair of figural candelabras, each with a standing female water carrier in brown patina bronze supporting the candle arms above, on black marble bases with gilt trim.
Measurements: Clock: 18 x 15 1/2 x 8 in. (45.7 x 39.4 x 20.3 cm.), Candelabras: 22 1/2 x 9 x 9 in. (57.2 x 22.9 x 22.9 cm.) approx
